Thanks for the Summer Season (Ending)

Tonight, a real quick list of thanks.

1181) Enjoying the last day the pool near our house is open. We walked over for an hour tonight and had such a great time. The sun was just dipping below the trees and the crowd thinning out.

1182) Big boys flipping and "jack-knifing" into the pool.

1183) L learning how to dive.

1184) The baby screams horribly when he is very tired or upset.... but I know those screams are quickly followed by sleep. Pretty sure he is teething and learning to stand up on his own.

1185) Last days of paper chaos as we change over to the "new" school year. Love that with homeschooling we have some flexibility (not a license for laziness!). Learning is our goal, and not "school."

1186) Changing seasons can be bittersweet, but good. The Lawyer is back into a very busy season with his regular work plus teaching plus an extra big project. We've added things like flag football and piano lessons weekly. All good things, but all take some juggling and I feel off balance, yet leaning forward.

1187) Eggplant Parmesan. Just grilled eggplant with yummy egg and Parmesan breadcrumbs. Most all ate it and L and I loved it. (She actually made most of it!)

1188) Muffins and pancakes in the fridge and granola in the jar. Two kinds of beans ready to use later this week. I'm really thankful for the baking day and the bean day that make other days easier.

1189) Big kids cleaned up wet towels and suits and such tonight. SO happy when they help out a mama!

1190) Virginia Beach trip this weekend. Even though I didn't want to go, I am thankful for the joy it brought to our children and to The Lawyer. Lovely day with lots of sun and waves (and sand in the van!).
