Morning, Noon, and Night

In the morning:
-I think it is a good idea for me to go to Walmart, OfficeMax and Kroger (before 9:30 a.m.).
-I think I will surely be fine with just a banana (from Walmart, since we were out of things that sounded good at home).
-I think that making Gingersnaps and Sugar Cookies sounds fun- and maybe we will even whip up a batch of chocolate chip hazelnuts cookies to put in the freezer for later!
-I think that I'll have time to practice piano for church worship, grind grain, wrap gifts, AND turn out and clean up 3 meals and 2 loads of laundry.
-I get up at 5 a.m., feeling energetic and hopeful. I bustle around, cleaning up and preparing for the day, have a quiet time, and feel ready to tackle the day.

In the evening:
-I decide that it is better to let B go to Walmart and I am glad that I do not have to go to OfficeMax again for a good long while.
-I realize that not eating until 8:30 a.m. was not a good idea for me (and baby); and -I've felt less than wonderful all day because of it.
-I think that we may wait a few more years before we make this many Christmas cookies again. It really isn't all that fun (for me).
-I realize that I was far too ambitious and I'm thankful that the flour lasted through the cookies, I still have 10 days to wrap gifts, and I did make it through all the Christmas music for church.
-I notice a bit of a headache and tension in my neck . . . as I also notice the messiness around the house and things still undone. It may only be 8 p.m., but it feels like 10:30 and I wearily trade in my apron for my pajamas and fall asleep on the couch.
