Joel Salatin and Polyface were featured in The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollen - far and away one of the best non-fiction books I've ever read. Have you read Dilemma or, what many call its even better counterpart, In Defense of Food? I also gobbled up Barbara Kingsolver's Animal, Vegetable, Miracle - I think you'd like that one, Cal.
Did you attend this? Dustin enjoyed it. Came home and told me he wants to have some space of his own to play with at the new house---never mind that i am already planning a garden that takes up half the lawn. ;-)
Yes, we are going to put in an offer on a house in the Fort Hill area this week or next. We can't wait to move!
By the way, in case I forgot to tell you, I enjoyed the creamy cauliflower soup recipe you posted a while back. I was actually buying the ingredients for it when I bumped into you at Wal-Mart and didn't even think to tell you about it! Very good!

Reading In Defense of Food right now! I love your recommendations, Jess. Thanks for sharing!
