Last Post?

My friends, I am hoping that THIS will be the last post before the baby arrives. I've decided that pictures make a HUGE difference on a blog (don't you agree?!)? and my desire is that the next post will have a picture of brand-new Baby Curtis.

Review of the weekend:
-My friend Sara had her son(!)- congratulations Sara, Scott, and family!! Welcome Baby Cal to a wonderful home!
-My midwife's daughter had a beautiful wedding celebration, and my midwife was able to enjoy it.
-The midwife's assistant dropped her son at college.
-The other mom who was due today had her baby this morning (with my midwife). Congrats, Mom in Farmville!
-I woke this morning with strong contractions and delivery seemed forthcoming. . . but it didn't. God blessed us with friends who took our kids to church and had them over to play this afternoon. We had the backup midwife and a backup assistant come this morning while our midwife was finishing up at the other birth. Then our midwife was here, too. My very good friend here in Lynchburg was able to come for much of the day, although her husband was busy reading and working on law school items (like mine needed to be!), which is hard with a 2 year old and a 1 year old! Things slowed down here so much in the afternoon that we decided to break up the party and call everyone again later, assuming that things will eventually resume course.

Keep praying! Life feels so challenging right now, as it is. Part of me wonders if I am causing this birth delay by my hesitation to embrace more change and more challenge. May God continue to give me sufficient grace and faith in Him! And may the next post be a wonderful celebration.

We are still watching the BLOG and waiting.. the BLOG will help you remember these times...Learning is happening!

Phil 1:12 talks about "true knowledge"... if you look at the Greek (someday)... it talks about the learner being "engaged" with the object of the knowing... You are now ENGAGED with God and trusting him. Keep on.

True--everyone is waiting with bated breath. I'm praying for you, and praying that God brings ALL the details together at the right time, and helps you really be able to celebrate this life!

Oh, Calli! I am sure it is so hard right now to be waiting! And I am sure it is also hard to hear of the other ladies having their babies and yours is still in the warmer! But, hang in there my friend. God knows the days ordained for this new little Curtis and so He knows exactly when it will happen! There is nothing you can do to thwart that - no worrying, no planning, no analyzing!
